Bettendorf - Crow Creek Dog Park
  • The Crow Creek Dog Park is located in Crow Creek Park, on the north end across from Softball Field #3. It provides almost 5 acres of fenced, safe space for dogs to run and play off leash. Enter from the Devils Glen Road main entrance. Turn left at the "T" when you get into the park and follow the road around.
  • We do require a license from your City for your dog to enjoy the dog park. If your City does not issue dog licenses, please have proof of Vaccination with you.
  • Amenities include: dispensers and bags for waste removal, public restrooms, 6' high fencing, dog drinking fountain, benches, trash cans, memorial stones
Crow Creek Dog Park Rules - These rules are established to promote a safe and positive environment in the Dog Park.
  • The Dog Park is open daily from dawn until dusk unless closed for maintenance.
  • Sports activities, dog training, children's recreation, and business uses are prohibited.
  • Dogs must be in view and under the control of their handlers at all times.
  • All handlers must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Each handler must have a leash in hand at all times.
  • No more than 2 dogs per handler are permitted in the park on any one visit.
  • Dogs cannot be left alone in the Dog Park.
  • Dogs must wear collars with current vaccination tags and city dog licenses attached. (Dog Licenses are available at City Hall, 1609 State Street Bettendorf.
  • Puppies under 5 months of age and female dogs in heat are prohibited from the park.
  • Owners are required to pick up and dispose of your dog's waste.
  • Dogs must be on a leash when they are outside of the Dog Park.
  • Remove and apply leashes while your dog is in the staging area. Please do not enter the play area with your dog on-leash.
  • Children under four feet in height are not permitted in the Dog Park. Children under 16 years of age must be closely supervised by an adult.
  • Dogs that consistently exhibit dominant aggressive behavior, dogs that regularly do not come when called, dogs that play too roughly, and dogs that cannot control their barking must be removed from the park immediately and without debate.
  • Owners are required to stop their dog from digging and are responsible for filling any holes their pet creates.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the Dog Park. (Tobacco products are hazardous to canine health.)
  • The following items are prohibited in the Dog Park: Bicycles, skates, rollerblades Strollers, baby carriages, Children's toys, Dog treats and rawhides, Food (dog and human), Glass Bottles, Prong or Spike collars.
  • The use of the facility is at the participant's sole risk.
  • The Bark Park is unsupervised and the City cannot control the behavior of any one animal at any one time

Cedar Rapids - Cheyenne Park OLA Area - currently closed due to flooding

  • Animal Control staff unlock the park gate when they arrive for work in the morning, around 7:00 a.m. They lock the gate at dusk. The park is open 365 days a year, rain or shine (or sleet or snow or whatever else Iowa may throw at us)!

  • Your dog must have a permit to use the Park. Cost for an annual permit is only $25.00 and you can get a $5.00 discount if you show proof of spay/neuter. You can get an additional $5.00 discount if your dog passes a recall test, which is given periodically by K9COLA.

  • This park has a separate small dog area (dogs must be under 15 inches at the shoulders), a 1.5 acre training area, and in the 13 acre enclosure there is a walking trail, tall grass and mowed areas
  • Portable bathroom near the entrance
  • All owners must clean up after their dogs.
  • Dogs under three months of age cannot get Park permits.
  • No dog allowed who has injured a person by biting.
  • If your dog is involved in an unpleasant experience (but no injury) with another dog or person, please remove your dog from the Park for the day.
  • If your dog is vicious to another dog or person (causing injury) it will be reported to Animal Control and will be subject to the City's policies regarding this issue.
  • Owners are responsible for all dog behaviors (fights, digging, etc.) and will be expected to offer compensation or repairs.
  • Female dogs in heat are not allowed in the Park.
  • Each adult handler may have no more than two dogs at a time in the Park.
  • Owners must carry a leash for each dog at all times while in the Park.
  • Dogs must be under owners’ visual contact and voice control at all times.
  • Children under 12 years must be supervised by an adult while in the Park.
  • No wheeled vehicles (bicycles, wagons, roller blades, etc.) are allowed in the Park. The exceptions to this are wheelchairs and strollers.
  • No food is allowed in the Park except for small training treats. Beverages may be brought in if they are in plastic or paper containers; containers and lids must be disposed of properly.
  • Dogs in small dog yard should be less than 15 inches at the shoulder.
  • For your dog's safety, please do not use prong, choke, or training collars in the Park.
  • For your dog's safety, please do not have your dog leashed inside the Main Yard fence.


Clinton - Prairie Pastures Dog Park
  • Open 7am to dusk
  • 6 acres - Fenced, Small and Large Dog Areas, water, lots of trees, benches.
  • You may purchase a day pass for $3 per dog/per day or a membership $20- individual or $30- family
  • Location: 3923 N 3rd St at Eagle Point Park. Directions: Located on HWY 30. Enter the park and take the first exit to the right. Dog Park is on the right side.
  • Joining the Soaring Eagle Nature Society gives you access to the Prairie Pastures Off-Leash Dog Park. Once you send in your membership application you will receive your welcome letter, list of rules and etiquette, and your membership badge, which you must display whenever you visit the park with your canine friends. Membership forms are available by calling 563-243-3022 or by visiting the park. The forms are located in the Day Pass box on the main entrance gate.

Davenport - CM Dog Training Center and Dog Park
  • Open daily from dawn to dusk - closed on rainy days.
  • CM Academy Dog Training Center and Dog Park are Non-smoking areas
  • This is a fully fenced dog park to be used by the members of CM Training center.
  • Has agility equipment, picnic tables, and trees for shade.
  • Yearly behavior evaluations are mandatory and must be performed prior to use of the park.
  • Basic requirements include yearly fecal, all shots, including lepto and kennel cough, and flea and tick prevention
  • Please be responsible and Spay / neuter your dog, Train your dog in basic obedience, & Keep vaccinations & licensing up to date

Iowa City - Thornberry Off-Leash Dog Park

  • Annual dog park tags can be bought at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center (319) 356-5295 or the Lee Recreation Center. $5 one day pass or $25 for a yearly tag- $5 off for fixed dogs, $5 off for microchipped dogs
  • Please bring water for your dog to this park.
  • This park is split into three separate areas: one for small dogs (Linder Tire Service Small Dog Yard), Lucky Pawz Playground for all dogs, and Emma’s Run Training and Agility Area.
  • The agility section of the park can be rented for $10/hr up to 2 hours at a time for events
  • Has a large pond that is 15 ft deep for use by the dogs.
  • Location: West end of Foster Road at Peninsula Park. There are signs posted leading to the dog park. Directions: Take the Dubuque St. Exit to Iowa City; take a right at the first set of stop lights and follow the road all the way down.

Sioux City - Lewis & Clark Dog Park
  • 5+ fenced acres for off leash dogs.
  • This dog park has a separate small dog area, benches, a shelter, message board, walking path, and water spigot
  • Location: 5201 Correctionville Rd. Directions: Correctionville Road runs almost parallel to Gordon Drive.
  • PARK RULES:
    • Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by their dogs
    • Owners and their dogs should expect frequent interaction with other dogs or people
    • People and their pets enter at their own risk
    • City of Sioux City is not responsible for actions of people or pets
    • Remove dogs at the first sign of aggression
    • Please dispose of pet waste. Bags and containers are provided at the park entrance
    • Children must be six years of age or older and should be under close supervision
    • Bring no more than two dogs per person, and carry a leash for each dog at all times
    • Fill any holes your dog digs
    • Proof of vaccination required
    • Contributors who donate $10 annually will receive a special dog tag. Contributions received will fund future park improvements and can be made at the Parks & Recreation office, 405 6th Street, Room 408. Other donations are welcomed and can be placed in the entrance drop box

Washington - Sunset Dog Park.
  • 1 acre fenced-in dog park
  • Open 6am - 10pm
  • Water, lights, benches and tables, mature shade trees, separate small dog area.
  • $25 yearly fee available at the vet or $3 per day (there is a miniature dog house for collection of fees at the dog park)
  • Location: 915 W Main St in Sunset Park

West Des Moines - Raccoon River Dog Park
  • The park is large (10 acres) and entirely fenced.
  • Open 6:30am - dusk
  • Users are asked to purchase a membership to the park. Permits are available at the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office (4200 Mills Civic Parkway) or the Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge
  • Proof of parvo/distemper and rabies vaccinations are required to purchase permits.
  • Permits are good for one calendar year (January through December) and range in price from $15 for West Des Moines residents to $30 for non-residents. West Des Moines residents must also have a current city pet licence to use the park
  • Location: 2500 Grand Avenue. Directions: Entrance to Racoon River Park is on the south side of Grand Avenue. Once in the park, turn left, head past the lake toward the softball diamonds. Turn right at the Softball Complex/Beach corner and follow curve in road to the south end of the softball complex. The dog park is behind (south) of the softball diamonds.
